Aaron Tokona frontman for AhoriBuzz a jam-band made up of top Christchurch musicians. This week the ex-Cairo Knife Fight and ex-Weta performer talks to Go Live's Vicki Anderson about his song 'Into The Sunshine'.
Tokona wrote 'Into the Sunshine' for last year's Global Citizen concert, striving to make it as powerful, beautiful and uplifting as possible.
The Global Citizen concert aimed to be a soundtrack to a worldwide social movement to end extreme poverty within a generation.
Christchurch-based Tokona says that everyone, from Mexico to Taihape, ''lives under the same sun''.
Ruby Braam is a 19 year old, second year Theatre/English major student studying a BA/Bteach at Victoria University of Wellington. A long time performer in the arts she is now debuting her new single "Stay High" written with producer Kevin Allison (Angles Gate Recording Studio).
"Stay High" is the first song of Ruby's upcoming EP which is currently in production. The new single is an Alternative/Pop ballad which pushes lyrical boundaries supported through her emotive vocal drive. Ruby's natural tonality enables the push for authenticity to rise and become the driving force behind her music.
